Pakistani Kheer Recipe


INGREDIENTS:

  • 7 cups milk
  • 2 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Dry fruits such as Almond and Pistachios 
  • Kesar or saffron 
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosewater 
  • 1 1/2 cup half and half  (GET FROM AMAZON)

PROCEDURE:

Procedure to prepare Pakistani styled kheer is very simple:

  1. First of all, soak basmati rice for around 40 minutes in water.
  2. Secondly, heat milk in a pan until bubbles formation takes places at pan edges.
  3. Add chopped dry fruit and rice in milk and stir mixer until it gets thicker. Heat mixer for around 30 to 35 minutes.
  4. Add half and half
  5. Cook all the mixed ingredients for 40 minutes until it gets thicker.
  6. Now add sugar and dissolve throughly.
  7. Now kheer is ready to serve but before that add rosewater and mix throughly and garnish kesar for attractive appearance and kesar taste.
